Birthday

Well, it's a small world, isn't it. It turns out that [livejournal.com profile] mic_schasser who I met via [livejournal.com profile] randomquestions because he had a Josie and the Pussycats icon was born on the same day as me. I like this as a fact :) So, happy birthday us.

It's a strange thing, a birthday. I don't feel like I'm ready to be 23 somehow although I couldn't tell you what I lack. According to work, I'm now old enough to start a pension but I still think of myself as a disorganised extravagant spendthrift (see recent entries on buying plans :) ). Can I stay like this (it's fun :) ) and still have a pension and other grown-up things?

Happy Birthday!

Why thank you :) I just got an email from the LJ team saying Happy Birthday and that I could email them with my silly birthday stories. I know it's auto-generated but it's still really sweet :)

Well I'm like that, and I'm a lot older than you are!

I've three savings accounts, have had a pension since I was 20 but I can still be extravagant when I want to (see my latest post).

I suppose actually the problem is not my tendancy to be spendthrift but to be disorganised - so I never quite get round to sorting out the savings accounts etc. I've just been a leetle worried by my temptation to spend my bonus on expensive consumer electronics rather than my overdraft :)

Ah. I don't have an overdraft but if I did I'd clear it first.

Although I have just done something extra sneaky. I've paid for my new couch on interest free credit but I have the cash, so I've put it in a high interest current account and I'm earning interest on their money for the next six months. :)

Joys of being a recently ex student I'm afraid. I still have part of both loan and overdraft although it is all slowly but surely decreasing. Maybe, I can just have one treat :) If only I could decide which...

PS - I like the couch plan :)
