Cassie's injections have finally arrived at the vet so I'm going over there this evening to learn how to give them. Poor love. I may even make it to the OUSFG video meeting - I'm giving it about 50/50 at this point. It does sound tempting, but then so does a night in...

I don't envy you (giving a cat injections I mean!)...

'jections
(Anonymous) 2004-03-03 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)I had to learn to give my dog injections (twice a day) when he became diabetic. I hate needles myself so the thought of having to give him two each and every day was hard. But it became routine after a few weeks ... he was good about it and seemed to know that I was helping him (and that he got a treat after!). As soon as I sat on the floor by him and reached for his neck (I had to do the injections alternating each side of his neck) he would freeze and wouldn't move until I patted his head.
The things we have to do for our "babies"!!
Good luck - I have not got any experience with cats ... hopefully Cassie will as good as my dog was about the whole thing.
