Well I never!

Guess who I just heard on Weekend Womans Hour, quite by chance! I told Alex this would happen - if you were a producer and wanted someone to talk about classics in schools, you would ring up...

[livejournal.com profile] iruineverything! Not a bad performance at all, either, helped by the fact that the other guy was rather curmudgeonly and contradictory really. I noticed they didn't call her Dr though - are you being modest, Lorna?

Ah, I did wonder if that was going to be the upshot of the little tiny bit I caught just before getting out of the car. I like the glimpses of unexpected stuff you get on Radio 4 - I'm also listening to Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, which apparently might not be by Bach and might not be in D minor and might not even be an organ piece at all...

Lorna did mention that she studied classics for her doctorate. She did an excellent job in the discussion, I think. You can hear her again on here (or I can make an mp3 if anyone wants one).

I guessed right! Not that this was exactly difficult. Go Dr L!
