Emptied of expectation. Relax. ([personal profile] tinyjo) wrote2006-08-01 12:44 pm

Super group

We were speculating only recently on who might form a modern day equivalent to the Travelling Wilburys - could this lot be contenders?

No-one rivals the might of the Wilburys!

Well, true, but we can dream of a return

Hmmm. Can't see Orbison or Harrison rejoining somehow, but Dylan, Petty and Lynne...now that would still be excellent. They should get Clapton to replace Harrison...oh no, wait...that'd be in poor taste, considering the wife-stealing and all that...

I do love the Traveling Wilburys. One of my favourite all-time albums.

Yeah, I was surprised to see on a blog when I was browsing around that there were rumours of a possible Wilburys 5 album. The first one is also on my desert island list :)

Maybe there's some unreleased stuf recorded before Roy Orbison died.

I love Wilburys 1. That and 'Tango in the Night' by Fleetwood Mac were the tapes we listened to in the car when I was little. And Simply Red, but we forget about that...

Hah! That was exactly how I got into it. My brother and I used to sing Tweeter and the Monkey man in the back of the car!

And the walls came down...all the way to hell...

Never saw them when they're standing, never saw them when they fell

Couldn't resist :)
