Wow - I know this won't mean anything to anyone who doesn't do support, but I just have to bounce for a moment. I got my I1 priv in Embedding!! What with Xmas and so on, I only just found out!

Congratulations!

What does that actually mean? Can you do new and fab things with your LJ as a thank you?

It means I get to do new and exciting things in LJ support. Basically, it means that I'm trusted to know what I'm doing a bit when answering requests about embedding. I get to see the answers other people have already submitted for a query and I can add internal comments or internal notes about the request and read them (so if the LJ team are testing a bug noted in a request, I'll be able to see the progress of that).

I'm glad you're excited. You deserve it :-)

Thanks :) I'm already trying to decide when would be a good time to take the test to see if I'm close to I2 or not (is it OK to use it like that?) :)

It's up to you. You can request the test whenever you'd like to. A lot of what's important if you don't have any other privs is how you handle being able to do more than just answer the question. Being a priv isn't just about knowing the right answer, although that's always useful :-)

I have it any time you'd like it and there's no penalty for trying.
