I have a leaving date! Yay! It is 14th June which is fine and means that what with Bank Holidays etc I have 9 days left including today. I also have a start date! Yay! It is 24th June. The observant amongst you will notice that there is a week in between these two dates in which I get to be unbearably domestic etc :) Happy!

Resolutions

Wow. A quick check of my to do list reveals that I've completed all but one of my resolutions for 2002! Also, on my palm, I've got everything on my "desires" list (e.g. camera, cat, etc) except for a cello! I feel so accomplished :)

Now, I don't mind there being football all over the TV. I don't mind that many of my colleagues went down the pub to watch the whole game (although I wonder what the reaction would be if I did that for Wimbledon?) But I do mind that some of those who were left had video streaming with the sound on at their desks. Antisocial buggers.

Pornography

Once again, they're talking about Richard Desmonds donation to the Labour Party and I notice that there seems to be an assumption that pornography is a bad thing. Now I am not at all sure about this. I recognize that it can be exploitative but it isn't necessarily. Nor is it necessarily unhealthy - I tend to think of it as an aid to fantisizing for the unimaginative. Its not illegal so why should we not accept this donation as just another one from a business man?
