Oh yeah, the lyrics to Red Hot Chilli Peppers songs make no sense! Take this extract from "Can't stop"

Can't stop the spirits when they need you
Mop tops are happy when they feed you
J. Butterfly is in the treetop
Birds that blow the meaning into bebop

What!!!

Like Danny Baker said, before he turned into a mumbling tramp, "Don't tug at that thread. If you start analyzing pop lyrics all of western civilisation unravels."

I'm actually commenting to your previous post, because I can't do it there because then I might see Wimbledon spoilers that I guess are behind the cut tag ( sportsmanship in the doubles and the departure of a housemate ).

Thank you... :) and have fun on the London Eye. I think I might like to go some day...

Not really very spoilery, as it was something I'd seen the night before about an hour before the highlights programme, but you're welcome :) Did you see the Agassi/El Alynoi (sp?) match on Saturday? Amazing.

The RHCP have never been strong on sensical lyrics. 8-)

But it's a damn fine song, non?

(Oh, "Hi" BTW, found link through soulsong et al)

Hello to you to and welcome :) It's an excellent song and a blinder of an album actually. It makes me think of a cross between Weezer and the Beatles, which is pretty high praise!

Can't get much better than that, it is definately one of their best albums.

PS Do you know Tanaqui Weaver?

Tanaqui

I do, although I haven't seen her much recently.

Tanaqui

Me neither. She's the reason my daughter is named Tanaqui, but we seem to have lost touch since all her e-mail addresses I had dried up. She is also responsible for introducing me to Michael Marshall Smith (a friendly act indeed I'm sure you'll agree).

Given you had OUSFG and Oxford generally listed I made a random stab and guessed you knew her. I've been trying to get in contact with her for quite a while without success, could I ask you to pass on my e-mail address to her if you see her? I could really do with seeing her again
