<xterm> The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I'm trying very hard not to laugh out loud at some of those!

Most of the top 50 are quite funny, but if you choose the bottom - why? What on earth are these doing on a quotes page? Most of them are tasteless, racist and entirely unamusing. Unless you stick all of IRC on a "quotes" page, I just don't get how they would make it there.

Why bottom 50?

My guess is that they take submissions for amusing quotes from the publiuc, these are rated, and the ones which some person thought were kewl but were nevertheless rated very badly made the bottom 50. While the link to the bottom-50 list might not make for good reading, I suppose you could say it is a useful test of whether the rating system in necessary or not...?

Yes, this is how it works - you can rate every quote you see when you visit the page. However, from what I can tell, the submissions are moderated. So, how do the really awful ones get on? Must be really crap moderators.
