Things that make me smile

When someone hasn't quite figured out how alt works and so their image placeholder says "title or description" while you're waiting for the image to load. It's kind of charming.

Listening to the news programs discussing Micheal Howard's very own council of the wizended. I just find it hard to imagine that Iain Duncan Smith for one will have his best interests at heart. At the very least, the history should make for some interesting meetings.

Alex looking after me at home and giving me hugs. I feel very loved, these days, which is helping smooth out my mood swings a ton.

Oops! I found it on an icon sharing community and thought it was pretty - hope she doesn't mind :)
ext_78: A picture of a plush animal. It looks a bit like a cross between a duck and a platypus. (Default)

Perhaps she got it from the same place?

At any rate, it's her default icon at the moment, which is what made me recognise it.

(I also saw Emma's butterfly userpic on some random screenie -- she said she got it from an icon sharing community as well, so she couldn't really ask them to stop using it even if it was confusing I1s and above who were wondering why Emma was writing such, um, beginners'-level answers all of a sudden.)

I'll just have to try to not post to anything supportish using it. I tend to mostly use my default for posting in support journals anyway as I figure that's my recognizable board presence so we shouldn't find ourselves clashing.

I remember the Emma pretender - that was very confusing. Made me realise how much I recognise people by their icons on the board too. I always spend about a week after someone changes their default icon thinking "who's that? oh yeah!"

It's been a while since I used that icon... two or three weeks at least. :) Anyway, clearly you have good taste in icons.
