Soaking up the culture

cleanskies very kindly took me with her to a performance of Carmen (performed by Glyndebourne touring opera) she was reviewing last night. It was a long haul (3.5 hours) but absolutely spellbinding. They had supertitles so I didn't get annoyed by not knowing what was going on and the singing and music were breathtaking. I am not always keen on recordings of opera, but live it's just fantastic. Now I want to go again! So thanks cleanskies :)
