Laptop!!!!!!
I have finally bought a laptop!!! I went into the tax free Dixons on the way over the Channel Tunnel on the way to France and there it was - £1100 for a 1.1gig Pentium 3 chip with 30gig hard drive and 8xDVD drive!! It was a special offer and tax free as well or I'd never have got it at that price. Now I've got it home I have shoved Win2k on (better than Win ME and it'll do for now) and I'm going to stick games and stuff on it this evening, possibly from the comfort of my bed(!) I'm a happy bunny.
I had a great time in France too. We pottered around the forests of Guine and Bologne and then went for a nice meal in Bologne in the evening. Then today we went to the huge Leclercs on the outside of Bologne and bought some wine - very nice. After than we pottered round Cape Gris Nez which was beautiful and very sunny and had a picnic before going back over the tunnel
I should perhaps mention that the we in the proceeding paragraph is me and my parents - they came down on Friday night and then we went out for cultural trips in London over the weekend which was pretty cool and then headed over to France together yesterday.
More later when I've calmed down a bit!
