Discovery

While I was away, I've been friended by [livejournal.com profile] somebodies. The entries tend to the introspective rambling end of the spectrum as far as I can see, but the interesting thing is that they're made up from sentences from other peoples entries. A bit of mine has even been used. They're credited by links to the original entry with the tool tip naming the original writer. Being so new to reading it, it's hard to tell whether it's just an art/writing project or whether the writer is just using other peoples words to tell the story of their life but either way, it's a neat idea.

Interesting...

...and a little scary.

I can't help wondering if it's a massive joke on the entire concept of blogging.

Ooh, I think that's kind of neat. I've thought about doing such a thing before, actually. :-)

There's a bunch of support people on his/her friends list, too. :-)

(PS. I love your S2 style...it's one of the best S2's I've seen!)

It's also an old-support person, which is probably recognizable by the userpic.

Some friends and I have been tracking it for a week or so, and someone posted in comments what was up with it, discussing it with Somebodies. My collection of memories for all of it is over here (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?keyword=Somebodies&user=fenwickrysen&sortby=des) and the one with the explanation is clearly titled.

Welcome to the Somebodies Club!

I just saw this phrase in [livejournal.com profile] somebodies and recognized it as coming from a post wherein someone was talking about somebodies.

Um.

Thanks! I'm glad it's not a bot - it makes a really nice piece this way.

I was especially entertained to see how the artist's writing style

was disjointed, just like the somebodies journal, as if every phrase/sentence he gave was one taken from somewhere else (perhaps it was)

Thanks :) I'm pretty pleased with it - it's all done by magical CSS.

hee I've been wondering about what they actually wrote in their journal :)

One day they appeared and friended all these people, and we had a nice discussion about them in IRC.
