God bless Google! As always, it knows more about Microsoft’s tools than Microsoft does :) So now this piece of programming will only be quite difficult instead of very difficult.

hey ms tinjo support person, you wouldnt happen to know a way of displaying a large number of comments to a post without any threading, wouldja?

If you mean the thing where the threads collapse and you only see the poster/title of comments, it's not possible to turn that off, even in S2, sadly.
