Well, I have finally made it safely back from France. We had a somewhat ghastly journey home - we couldn't get onto the M40 because the exit from the M25 was closed and then when we diverted around the M4 to pick up the A404, we couldn't get on that because that exit was closed! We ended up not getting home until about 1am, which was an hour later than that on my internal clock. Still, the kitties were there to greet us when we did finally arrive, so it was all OK after all. House still looks like a bomb has hit it - must tidy up before parents arrive bearing wine.

I've read some of my friends page and looked at my email for the first time in 2 weeks, but if I've missed anything important, or not replied to something you think I should have, give me a poke.

I swear, I may never need to buy a plastic poly pocket again! Between the ones I recycled from last year, the ones I've recycled from things in my cupboard I've thrown away the around 8 packets of new ones I've found in my cupboard and the 2 new packets I've been given this year, I have more than a sane person could ever need!

Alex just pointed me at this really uncanny drawing of our living room from a couple of years ago when we had a visiting Andy Konky Kru for Caption:

Seen with many other lovely pics here

Mountains

Mountain questions from one of the kids coming up into year 5 in my class:

How high does a mountain have to be to be a mountain?
Are mountains always pointy at the top?
Is the inside of a mountain wet or dry?
Is a mountain solid rock or lots of little rocks?

All from one person. I am quite looking forward to my new year 5's, I have to say.
